West Air Luxembourg SARL

Founded in April 2002 the company was established by it´s Swedish parent company West Air Europe as a continental sister company to West Air Sweden. The later was originally established as a taxi operator in 1962, however the development changed in 1996 when the Postal and ExpressWestair LX-WAB Courier Companies required more and more dedicated air transport solutions. As a consequence of the increased business activities of the Group West Air Europe determined it would facilitate commercial contacts with the whole European market, either through operational centers within different regions or as newly-created individual airlines. West Air Luxembourg SA was the first to be cloned from West Air Sweden AB. Today West Air Luxembourg SA operates a fleet of 8 BAE ATP and one ATR-72 both having a capacity of 8500kg in payload and 70cbm in volume. The company received it's AOC licence (Air Operator Certificate) from the Luxembourg government on 28 november 2003.

Both independent airlines are exclusively operating in the express and postal courier services. Consequently the Group holds a strong position in the scheduled cargo market as well as providing ad-hoc charter services to destinations covering postal and express courier services to all major airport located between Spitzbergen and Nothern Africa.
